Americas
Big cities, national parks and theme-park thrills
A first trip to the United States usually means two coasts. In the east, New York gives you the Statue of Liberty, Times Square and Broadway, with Niagara Falls a short flight away. In the west, Las Vegas is the gateway to the Grand Canyon, while California offers Universal Studios Hollywood and the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
Families often add Orlando, where Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando can fill four or five days. Distances are continental, so we link the regions with domestic flights and keep road journeys for the scenic stretches, such as the Pacific Coast Highway between Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Twelve to sixteen days covers the classic circuit without exhaustion. Indian restaurants and vegetarian food are easy to find in every major city, and senior travellers appreciate how accessible American sights are, with lifts, ramps and wheelchairs widely available. The one thing to plan early is the visa, as interview waiting times in India can be long.
The sights we build itineraries around. Tell us which ones you want, and we will plan the days for you.

Only with a Canadian visa as well. The Canadian side has the wider view of the Horseshoe Falls, so if you are visiting both countries we plan the crossing at the Rainbow Bridge; otherwise the US side offers excellent close-up views on its own.
With four main theme parks, three to four days is a good minimum for families. Add two days if you also want Universal Orlando or the Kennedy Space Center.
Yes. Every large American city has Indian restaurants, and vegetarian dishes are clearly labelled at most restaurants and theme parks. For national parks such as the Grand Canyon, we choose tours with vegetarian lunches or pack meals for the road.
