About Universal Studios Hollywood
Universal Studios Hollywood is both a theme park and a working film studio. Its tram-based Studio Tour takes you through the backlot, past streets and sets from well-known films and television shows, and into special-effects scenes such as an earthquake and a flash flood.
Beyond the tour are rides for every age: the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Super Nintendo World, Jurassic World: The Ride and Despicable Me Minion Mayhem for younger children. An express pass cuts queuing time considerably during school holidays.
Plan a full day and arrive at opening time. The park is in Universal City, a short drive from the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the TCL Chinese Theatre, so the two combine well, and CityWalk outside the gates has plenty of places to eat.
