Las Vegas Strip

The Strip is the stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard lined with themed resorts: a half-size Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas, Venetian canals with singing gondoliers, and the Bellagio's lake, where fountains dance to music every evening.

Even if you do not gamble, there is plenty to do: Cirque du Soleil and magic shows, the High Roller observation wheel and the Sphere, whose giant illuminated exterior has become part of the skyline. Indian restaurants are easy to find, and outlet malls are a short drive away.

Summer afternoons are extremely hot, so explore in the evening and use the resort pools by day. Las Vegas is also the natural base for day trips to the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon.
