Singapore

Garden city of skylines, light shows and theme parks

Overview

Why visit Singapore?

Singapore packs a remarkable amount into a small, spotless city-state. In a few days you can walk among the Supertrees at Gardens by the Bay, look across the harbour from the top of Marina Bay Sands, spend a full day on the rides at Universal Studios and still have evenings free for the light shows along the waterfront. Public transport is excellent, distances are short and almost everything runs on time.

It is one of the easiest international trips for Indian families. English is spoken everywhere, Little India and the hawker centres make vegetarian and Jain food easy to find, and the city feels safe for children and senior travellers alike. Many attractions sit close enough together to combine two in a day without rushing.

We usually plan four or five nights, with a hotel near Marina Bay or Orchard Road, and organise attraction tickets and private or shared transfers around your pace. Singapore also pairs well with Malaysia, by coach to Kuala Lumpur or a short flight to Langkawi, or with a few beach days in Bali.

Good to know

Planning a trip to Singapore

Do Indian passport holders need a visa for Singapore?

Yes. Singapore visas for Indian citizens are applied for through authorised agents and issued electronically. We help you prepare the documents and handle the application.

Is vegetarian food easy to find in Singapore?

Very. Little India has many pure-vegetarian restaurants, most hawker centres have Indian stalls, and hotels can usually arrange Jain meals with advance notice.

How many days do we need for Singapore?

Four or five days covers Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay, Sentosa and a full day at Universal Studios without rushing. Add a day or two for the zoo, the Night Safari or more shopping.

Can we combine Singapore with Malaysia or Bali?

Yes, both are popular pairings. Kuala Lumpur is a short flight or a comfortable coach journey away and Bali is under three hours by air, so either combination works well in 8–10 days.
