Twin towers, cave temples and rainforest islands
Malaysia gives you a modern capital, cool hills and island beaches within an hour’s flight of one another. Kuala Lumpur is built around the Petronas Twin Towers, with Batu Caves and the planned city of Putrajaya close by; Genting Highlands, often up in the clouds, offers theme parks and cooler air; and Langkawi brings cable cars, mangrove cruises and quiet beaches.
For Indian travellers it feels instantly familiar. A large Tamil community means temples, South Indian restaurants and vegetarian food are easy to find, especially around Brickfields in Kuala Lumpur, and English is widely spoken. Roads are good and distances short, which makes it comfortable for young families and senior travellers.
A classic plan is three nights in Kuala Lumpur, including a day in Genting, followed by three nights in Langkawi. Malaysia also combines easily with Singapore, with a heritage day in Malacca on the way south, and we arrange all sightseeing and transfers around your schedule.
