Mamanuca Islands Day Cruise

The Mamanuca Islands are a chain of small, palm-covered islands scattered across the lagoon west of Nadi, with white sand, coral reefs and some of the calmest water in Fiji. Day cruises leave Port Denarau each morning and reach the nearest islands in well under an hour.

A typical day includes swimming and snorkelling off a white-sand island, a glass-bottom boat or semi-submersible for non-swimmers, and a buffet lunch with vegetarian options. Some trips stop at Cloud 9, a two-level floating platform out on the reef, or sail past Monuriki, the island where the film Cast Away was shot.

Pack reef shoes, a hat and reef-safe sunscreen. If you would rather stay out on the water, the Mamanucas also have family resorts and adults-only retreats just a short boat transfer from Nadi.
