About El Arco de Cabo San Lucas

At the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula, granite cliffs end in El Arco, a natural arch rising from the sea. This is Land's End, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez.

Glass-bottom boats and water taxis leave the Cabo San Lucas marina for a short trip round the arch, past sea lions on the rocks, and can drop you at Lover's Beach for an hour or so. From December to April, humpback whales gather in these waters, and whale-watching cruises are a highlight.

Los Cabos is a separate flight from Cancún or Mexico City and suits honeymooners looking for desert scenery, elegant resorts and sunset sailing trips. Swim only on the sheltered side of Lover's Beach, as the Pacific side has powerful currents.
