About Santa Claus Village

Santa Claus Village lies just outside Rovaniemi, right on the Arctic Circle. Here children and adults alike can meet Santa Claus in his office, send cards stamped with a special Arctic Circle postmark from Santa’s Main Post Office, and step across the white line that marks the Arctic Circle.

Around the village are gift shops, cafés, reindeer and husky rides, and in winter snow activities for children. SantaPark, an underground Christmas theme park, is nearby.

The village is open all year, but December, with deep snow and Christmas lights, is the most atmospheric and the busiest. Visit early in the day for shorter queues to see Santa. Children can write their letters to Santa on the spot, and the post office can hold cards back for delivery at Christmas.
