The original LEGOLAND, opened in 1968 in LEGO’s hometown, with miniature cities built from millions of bricks.
LEGOLAND Billund opened in 1968 next to the town where LEGO was founded, and it remains a favourite with families. Its Miniland recreates landmarks, harbours and towns from millions of LEGO bricks, surrounded by themed areas with rides designed for younger children.
Spend a full day at the park, watching the miniature boats and trains move through Miniland, and add the LEGO House in central Billund, an interactive experience centre where children build, play and create.
Billund is about three hours by road from Copenhagen and also has its own airport. LEGOLAND opens seasonally, roughly from spring to autumn, so we plan your dates accordingly. Most rides suit children of around three to twelve, and the themed hotel beside the park makes a two-day visit easy.
