Museum of the Future

Opened in 2022, the Museum of the Future is one of Dubai’s most photographed buildings: a silver ring with no corners, its façade cut with Arabic calligraphy that doubles as the windows. The lines are quotations about the future by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai.

Inside, a simulated journey to a space station leads into floors of interactive exhibits about climate, wellbeing and technology, ending in a hands-on area for children. Allow around two hours, and longer with curious teenagers.

Entry is by timed slot, which we fix in advance. An early slot lets you enjoy the exhibits before the crowds; return after dark if you can, when the lit façade is at its most striking.
