About Dubai Dhow Dinner Cruise

Dhows are the wooden trading boats that carried pearls, spices and textiles between the Gulf and India for centuries. Today, lantern-lit dhows take diners on evening cruises along two routes: Dubai Creek, past the souks and wind towers of the old city, and Dubai Marina, beneath its glittering skyscrapers.

Cruises last about two hours, with a buffet dinner, music and often a tanoura dancer on deck. Vegetarian dishes are included, and we choose operators who can prepare Jain meals with notice.

The Creek cruise is quieter and more traditional; the Marina cruise is more glamorous and a favourite with honeymooners. Either way, step out onto the open deck as the boat turns, when the views open up on both sides.
