Burj Khalifa

At 828 metres, the Burj Khalifa has been the world’s tallest building since it opened in 2010. High-speed lifts carry you to the At the Top observation decks on levels 124 and 125, with the option of going higher still to the lounge on level 148, where the desert, the coastline and the Palm Jumeirah spread out below.

The tower stands beside the Dubai Mall, so most visits run on into an evening of shopping, the aquarium and dinner. After dark, the Dubai Fountain performs on the lake at the tower’s foot every half hour, its jets choreographed to music.
