About Iguaçu Falls from the Brazilian Side

The Iguaçu Falls are a chain of around 275 waterfalls along nearly three kilometres of the Iguaçu River, on the border between Brazil and Argentina. Most of the falls are on the Argentine side, which is exactly why Brazil enjoys the best overall views.

In Iguaçu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a paved trail of about 1.2 kilometres follows the canyon with viewpoints at every turn and ends on a walkway reaching out towards the Devil's Throat; expect to get wet. A lift carries you back up to the road, so the walk is manageable for most ages.

Allow half a day. Add the Macuco Safari boat ride under the falls, a helicopter flight from just outside the park, or the Parque das Aves bird park across the road.
