Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris is around 40 minutes from central Paris on the RER A train, which stops right at the park gates. There are two parks: Disneyland Park, built around Sleeping Beauty Castle, and a second park devoted to Disney, Pixar and Marvel films.

Little ones love the classic Fantasyland rides and meeting the characters; older children head for Big Thunder Mountain and the Marvel attractions. A parade of floats and characters winds through Disneyland Park every afternoon, and the evening show, when projections and fireworks light up the castle, is worth staying for.

With young children allow a full day for each park. Weekdays outside French school holidays are quieter, and staying at a Disney hotel saves the daily journey from Paris. Restaurants in the parks have vegetarian choices, but we suggest carrying familiar snacks for small children.
