Prague, Czech Republic
An evening on the river beneath Charles Bridge, with the castle lit up above and dinner on board.
The Vltava curves through the centre of Prague, and a cruise is a relaxed way to see the castle, Charles Bridge, the National Theatre and the river islands from the water, especially after a day of walking.
Choose a one-hour sightseeing cruise, a smaller boat that slips into the Čertovka channel known as Prague’s Little Venice, or a dinner cruise with music as the city lights come on. For dinner cruises we request vegetarian menus in advance.
Evening cruises are the most atmospheric, when Prague Castle is floodlit above the river. In cooler months, choose a boat with an enclosed, heated deck. Some routes continue upstream past the Dancing House towards the Vyšehrad fortress, giving a different view of the city.
